At Allard Audiology, our commitment to compassionate hearing care is deeply rooted in the vision and dedication of our late founder, Bradley Allard. In October 2024, Brad was posthumously awarded the prestigious Moneca Price Humanitarian Award by the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA)—a recognition of his extraordinary humanitarian work in audiology.

A Life Dedicated to Service

Brad Allard was more than just an audiologist—he was a humanitarian who believed that quality hearing care should be accessible to all. His work extended beyond clinic walls, reaching underserved communities through his involvement with Perry Medico, a charity focused on providing medical and audiology services to those in need.

From 2010 until his passing in 2021, Brad played a vital role in developing the Perry Medico Audiology Program in Yamasá, Dominican Republic. Under his leadership, the program provided comprehensive hearing assessments and rehabilitation services to the local community, ensuring long-term care by training residents in basic audiology services. His impact continues to be felt by those who benefited from his unwavering dedication.

A Family’s Commitment to His Vision

Receiving the award on behalf of the family was Brad’s step-son, Eduardo, who now leads Allard Audiology. In his acceptance speech, Eduardo spoke about how Brad’s legacy of service continues through the clinic’s strong community partnerships.

“His bond, his connection with the patients were so strong that we were able to carry on without any marketing just on the strength of his existing patient base. We were able to expand on the work that he's done, reaching out to Indigenous patients, refugees, newcomers; striking deep partnerships across the city of Toronto. I'm very happy and honored to receive this award and to continue doing the good work that Brad did through his clinic at Allard Audiology”

Allard Audiology remains committed to serving Indigenous communities through collaborations with organizations like the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto and Auduzhe Mino Nesewinong – Place of Healthy Breathing (Anishinaabemowin). Just as Brad championed accessibility in hearing care, his family and clinic continue to advocate for inclusive, patient-centered service for all.
